DISCOVER
SCUBA DIVING
Never
dived before, then experience the thrill of diving under the
supervision of a PADI professional in our discover scuba diving
program. Your adventure will begin in the safe confines of
a swimming pool, where you will master some basic concepts
and scuba skills.

OPEN WATER
DIVER
This
is the first full PADI certification course. The course consists
of 5 pool sessions for you to practice your diving skills,
knowledge development sessions and 4 open water dives. During
this course you will learn all the essential skills to diving
safely.
Once you are certified you are able to
dive with a buddy without the supervision of a diving professional
to a maximum depth of 18 metres.
Equipment: All equipment is
provided including course manual, log book and dive planning
table. Cost: £450
OPEN WATER
DIVER REFERRAL
If
the water is too cold for you in the UK, complete the pool
and theory sessions with us. We will then give you a referral
form which can be taken to any PADI instructor in the world
and complete the open water dives in the warm clear waters
of the Caribbean, the Red Sea or anywhere you choose. We can
advise you of schools that undertake PADI training around
the world.
Equipment: All equipment is
provided including course manual, log book and dive planning
table. Cost: £325, this only includes the
pool and theory sessions in the UK undertaken with Beyond
Blue.
SCUBA REVIEW
If
you are a qualified diver but have been out of the water for
a while, it is strongly recommended that you review your diving
skills and knowledge before embarking on a dive trip or expedition.
There is a theory review, followed by a pool session, in which
you have to complete the essential basic skills.
Equipment: All equipment is
provided. Cost: £50
ADVANCED
OPEN WATER
Once
you have gained your PADI Open Water certification you will
be eager to get back into the water. The Advanced Open Water
course, allows you to develop valuable skills whilst under
the supervision of a PADI instructor. You will complete the
course feeling more comfortable, confident and enthusiastic
about your diving.
You will need to complete the Navigation and
Deep Adventure dives and 3 adventure dives of your choice:
Dry Suit, Night, Wreck, Multi Level, Search and Recovery,
Peak Performance Buoyancy.
To take part you should already be a qualified
Open Water Diver. Once you have achieved the Advance Open
Water certification you are then qualified to dive to 30 metres,
with a buddy and without the supervision of a PADI professional.
Equipment: If you have decided
to progress to this level you should have purchased much of
your own kit, therefore no equipment is provided. Subject
to availability we may be able to loan you certain items.
The course manual is included. Cost: £250
RESCUE DIVER
The
PADI rescue diver course will not only expand your knowledge
and experience as a diver, but you will also learn to consider
the safety and well being of other divers.
The course will teach you effective diver rescue
skills, how to manage realistic rescue situations, increase
your awareness of dive safety and encourage you to anticipate
and prevent problems.
To participate in this course you should
already be a qualified Advance Open Water diver with a minimum
of 20 logged dives. To complete the Rescue Diver course you
also need to provide evidence of having successfully completed
a recognised First Aid course.
Equipment: If you have decided
to progress to this level you should have purchased much of
your own kit, therefore no equipment is provided. Subject
to availability we may be able to loan you certain items.
The course manual is included. Cost: £255
SPECIALITY
COURSES
Beyond
Blue offer you a range of PADI speciality diving courses;
they are aimed at developing your diving skills in a particular
area. They provide you with the necessary experience to increase
your diving ability and confidence. These courses introduce
you to new environments with the supervision of a PADI instructor.
Course manual is included where appropriate.
Equipment: If you have decided to progress to
this level you should have purchased much of your own kit,
therefore no equipment is provided. Subject to availability
we may be able to loan you certain items. Beyond Blue can
give you expert guidance on your individual equipment needs
and purchases.

MASTER SCUBA
DIVER
The
Master Scuba Diving rating is the highest recreational diver
rating in the PADI program and it denotes superior achievement
and proficiency. To become a master scuba diver you need to
complete 5 PADI speciality courses, have 50 logged dives and
be qualified to at least Rescue Diver level.

DIVEMASTER
The
PADI Divemaster course is where your adventure begins as a
dive professional. The course aims to produce responsible
and capable Divemasters, who can take charge of diving activities,
or assist an instructor with training of students.
To begin this course you must be qualified
as a rescue diver, and before completion you need to have
at least 60 logged dives.
Equipment: Course manual is
provided, it is recommended at this stage of your training
that you have your own equipment. Cost: This course is run on an internship
basis, contact us for further
details.
GUIDED DIVING
We
can offer you guided diving at a selection of inland and coastal
sites, shore or boat diving. This is ideal for the newly qualified
diver wishing to explore new and exciting dive locations,
with an instructor who is familiar with the site and can offer
advice on the surface and guidance underwater.
Cost: £30 per person
per dive not including equipment.
Hire of equipment is subject to availability on a daily basis.
