Beyond Blue …… a diving school with a difference!

Welcome from the owners of Beyond Blue. Martin Lowe and Nicola Schofield, have over twenty years experience of diving both in the UK and warmer waters around the world, and the diver training facility evolved out of the desire of its two owners to pass on to others the opportunity to share the joys that diving has bought to us and the other countless thousands of divers. We are both PADI Instructors who can teach diving to you from the most basic entry level Discover Scuba through to numerous Speciality courses such as Deep or Enriched Air (Nitrox) diver to name just two.

Imagine the exhilaration of being in the water with hammerhead sharks or swimming with manta rays. Exploring wrecks in the warm waters of the Red Sea or looking at pike, crayfish and trout in UK quarries. From pottering around in the shallows of a Caribbean reef where there is more life and more colour than you can imagine to watching cuttlefish dart about wrecks off the Cornish coast.

At Beyond Blue we hope to introduce you to this fantastic life, it is our aim to provide each student diver with a rewarding and fun course that acts as a next step to continue your diving education. You may only want to learn to dive so you can dive whilst abroad on holiday, or you may want to learn and develop your diving with a view to teaching yourself; whatever, Beyond Blue can put you on the right path.

It is important to us that you get the most out of whatever course you decide to do. To achieve this we intentionally keep our course sizes small (maximum of two) so that each student diver gets the maximum amount of support and guidance in the water and out. We maintain a student to instructor ratio in Open Water of 1:1We are aware that there is a lot more to diving than being in the water so we are available for advice on the following:

• What course suits your needs
• Your kit requirements and where to get it
• Holiday destinations abroad
• Dive sites in the UK
• How to continue your diving once your course is complete

Your wellbeing is of utmost importance to us and to achieve this we adhere strictly to the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) whilst teaching in the UK and follow the standards of PADI, the training agency. All in water staff we use are qualified PADI instructors. We don’t just do this for your safety but also for your comfort and enjoyment.

Diving is a fun and rewarding past time that many people can enjoy safely; with one qualification you have the ability to explore 70% of the Earth!
