RESCUE DIVER
|
An absolute must for any PADI diver and a prerequisite before you can earn the prestigious Master Scuba Diver rating. It will expand your knowledge in preparation for professional training (if you want to go down that route), teach effective diver rescue skills, prepare you to manage realistic rescue situations, increase your awareness of dive safety and encourage you to anticipate and prevent problems. You’ll learn how to recognise and manage diver stress; get guidance on First Aid equipment and procedures designed for divers, also how to manage emergencies from both land and in the water. You’ll work through a progression of staged exercises all building on the previous until you are capable of dealing with many of the eventualities that could occur in recreational diving. It covers rescue for both responsive and unresponsive divers, equipment removal and exits from the water. The course usually takes four days and covers both the theory and knowledge reviews required and twelve open water exercises. This is probably one of the most important diving courses you will ever participate in. To be certified you have to provide evidence of having successfully completed
a recognised First Aid Course (including CPR) within the previous 24 month.
The Emergency First Response course fulfils all of these requirements
and is highly recommended. Contact us to arrange a package deal of the
two courses. |
